Diving with Seals at the Farne Islands - 11th September 2011
Ian organised a trip to the Farne Islands for friends from Divetech and Deep Blue. We had a brilliant day, with reasonable weather, a nice boat, loads of seals and not very many divers.
Big boat, few divers.
Our first dive ws at Blue Caps, close to the Longstone Lighthouse. It's a wall dive with boulders and sand at the base, losts of marine life and quite a few inquisitive seals.

We found lots of tiny prawns jumping around on the rocks.
Waiting for the pick up near Longstone Lighthouse
Our second dive was in a shallow lagoon with 80 or more seals, they were not at all shy of divers!

Taz even got a kiss from one of them!
Going for a breather
Oh look more of these funny diver things over here . . .
Thanks to Ian for organising the weekend, I suspect there will be more photos on Ian's website before long!
